Evolution of e-conversion: In her presentation, Prof. Jennifer Rupp presented the successes of e-conversion and outlined research perspectives of the Cluster of Excellence.

Fall is e-conversion time. Our annual e-conversion conference was again a great success. From 15 to 18 October, scientists from our cluster met with international guests at Evangelische Akademie Tutzing, Germany, to exchange ideas, intensify research collaborations and broaden scientific horizons.

The presentations were insightful, and the enthusiasm of the approximately 110 participants for the topics around catalysis research, interfacial physics, nanotechnology, and investigation methods was more than palpable. The conference inspired us and made us excited for the next meeting in the fall of 2024.

The new Student Board of e-conversion: Elisabeth Erber, Christian Wilhelm, Duc Hien Nguyen, Pablo Vezzoni, and Abhilash Ulhe. The coordinators are Prof. Barbara Lechner and Professor Emiliano Cortés (from left to right).

In addition to technical lectures, overview presentations, poster sessions, and flash talks, the Ph.D. students were able to further strengthen their skills in two workshops regarding networking, presentations, and time management. On the last day of the conference, a new Student Board was elected, coordinated by Prof. Barbara Lechner and Prof. Emiliano Cortés.
