Network of International Collaboration Centers
In order to promote international scientific exchange, e-conversion supports research stays of its graduate students at partner institutes, provided they are relevant for the research work of the doctoral thesis. The funding of the typically two- to three-month stays includes travel costs and costs of stay up to approximately 5,000 euros. The institutions being part of the NICC (Network of International Collaboration Centers, see illustration) are strongly preferred as hosts. Stays at other institutes have to be justified separately.

The completed application form has to be submitted to the cluster office at least on month before the start of the journey, along with a detailed project plan (2-4 pages), a written supporting statement from the thesis supervisor and an invitation from the host. The Executive Board (EB) of e-conversion will make the funding decisions.
