We cordially congratulate our member PD Dr. Tayebeh Ameri on being awarded with the Arnold Sommerfeld Prize 2020. The award was introduced by the Bavarian Academy of Science in 1994 to honor young scientists for their outstanding achievements in the natural sciences.
Since 2018 Dr. Ameri was group leader at the Chair of Physical Chemistry and Nanochemistry (Prof. Bein) at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. A main focus of her research lies on the development and characterization of materials for energy applications as photovoltaic technologies. This includes perovskite, organic, and organic-inorganic hybrid material. As coordinator of the e-conversion Graduate Program, Dr. Ameri activly supported the upcoming generation of scientists. With the beginning of 2021 Dr. Ameri started as Senior Lecturer in Chemical Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. We wish her all the best and hope to stay connected!
