A special honour recognising excellence in energy research: Prof. Bettina V. Lotsch, Director of the Nanochemistry Department at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research and an e-conversion expert, has been elected a new scientific member of the German Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech).
acatech is one of Germany’s leading institutions bringing together expertise from science and engineering to provide independent advice on technology policy and societal issues. The election of Prof. Lotsch recognizes her internationally visible research at the interface of chemistry, materials science, and energy research. Her admission to acatech underscores the high relevance of her work, not only for fundamental research, but also for the technological transformation towards sustainable energy systems.
We warmly congratulate Prof. Lotsch and look forward to the impulses she will contribute to science and society together with acatech.
