Prof. Frank Neese was awarded the Schrödinger medal 2022 by the World Association of Theoretical and Computational Chemists (WATOC). The prize puts the Director of the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung in a row with many famous theoretical chemists. The WATOC choose Prof. Neese because of “his pioneering development of new quantum chemical methods for theoretical spectroscopy and local electron correlation, and their applications to real-life chemical problems.” (www.watoc.net)
