On March 2–3, 2026, the Munich Battery Discussions (MBD) will take place at the Institute of Advanced Study on the research campus in Garching. The event is organized by TU Munich, TUMint.Energy Research GmbH, Fraunhofer IGCV, and the BMW Group. The e-conversion Cluster of Excellence sponsors the Munich Battery Discussions.
The event will take place for the eleventh time in 2026 and will be invitation-only. Since its inception, the Munich Battery Discussions have pursued the goal of strengthening the exchange between industry and research in Germany and internationally. Accordingly, invited speakers from all over the world will come together.
The program comprises two days of presentations from industry and research, discussing current developments, technological challenges, and perspectives in battery research.
