In the summer, e-conversion participates in the two to four-day hands-on courses for girls of different age groups as part of the TUM Entdeckerinnen program. The young female researchers are introduced to scientific work, can carry out small experiments and small research projects themselves, and learn about the work of our female scientists.
06 – 07.08.2024: The power of the sun (for 13- to 15-year-olds)
We invite you to a workshop dedicated entirely to the topic of solar energy: We will show you how sunlight is turned into electricity and why this is so important for all of us. With a little help from our experts, you can build and solder your own solar panel (a “converter” of sunlight into electricity). On the second day, we will then take you on a journey into the world of organic solar cells. You will learn how these special cells work and even make your own. You can test all the solar cells you have built yourself in various experiments. Find out how you can measure and improve their performance.
